There are currently several opportunities to sponsor the hackathon available, and we want to get you involved!
Sponsoring the Oakland Solar Hackathon will provide your organization with the opportunity to be part of an innovative and well-publicized technology event in a burgeoning field at the intersection of high tech and clean tech. The hackathon is a highly participatory, single track program that we expect will attract a diverse group of attendees including developers, industry influencers, VCs, innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, and media mavens. We expect over 100 participants will gather over a weekend to share knowledge, develop applications, network with their peers, and discover new business opportunities.
The Oakland Solar Hackathon relies on sponsorship to provide hackers with amazing prizes and an opportunity to continue to grow the Cleanweb sector. As a volunteer based event, 100% of sponsor and attendee fees go directly to competition prizes and event production. This is where you come in. This is an opportunity for organizations such as yours to interact with these leading Cleanweb developers. Coupled with influencer interaction, we expect the Cleanweb Hackathon to attract strong media attention.

Platinum Sponsors
Along with top-level positioning on all online, T-shirt and printed materials, our Platinum Sponsors each will each receive a resume drop from all registrants who elected to share their resume. Platinum Sponsors will be host for the official Hackathon after-party (promoted on our agenda). Additionally, Platinum Sponsors will be able to have a demo and representation table on the main floor to showcase products and services. Platinum Sponsors can choose to organize developer evangelization breakout sessions as well as sponsor contest prizes. Platinum Sponsors receive eight tickets to the hackathon events. The platinum sponsorship package requires a minimum commitment of $3500.
Silver Sponsors
Silver Sponsors will be able to have a demo and representation table on the main floor to showcase products. They will also receive positioning in all online and printed materials. Silver Sponsors receive four tickets to the hackathon events. The silver sponsorship package is $2000.
Bronze Sponsors
The Bronze Sponsorship is $500. This package is ideal for small, early stage companies to gain exposure through representation at the event. In addition to having your logo included in materials, Bronze Sponsors will receive two tickets to the hackathon events.
Media and Promotional Sponsors
Interested print and online media should contact event organizers to discuss coverage opportunities. Promotional sponsorship opportunities also exist for organizations to assist in promoting the event and driving additional attendance.
